Salman Khan is undeniably one of the most loved superstars in the country, with an unmatched style, aura, and presence. His fans prefer to call him bhaijaan for his honest and generous nature. During his three-decade-long career, the actor has worked with several prominent filmmakers and actors who often share interesting insights about working with the superstar. Nikkhil Advani, who directed Salman in the multi-starrer film, Salaam-E-Ishq in 2007, recently shared one such interesting anecdote from working with the actor.
Salman Khan has a unique working style as he prefers to shoot late at night rather than early in the morning. Sharing more about his habit, Nikkhil Advani shared in an interview with Mashable India that they had scheduled the shoot for their popular song, Tenu Leke Mein with Priyanka Chopra in the film at 5 am. But Salman Khan refused because he couldn't wake up at that time.
Despite saying no, Salman also gave one option to solve the issue. The actor said that they could either sit with him till 5 am and that would keep him awake, or he would go to sleep till 10 am. This made them think, but they were determined to shoot the song for Salaam-E-Ishq. Recalling the incident, Nikkhil said:
"He said 'Either sit with me and I will go to sleep straight at 10 am'! So, we stayed awake, took him, shot, finished shooting, and then he went to sleep. For me, it has always been about finishing the day quickly."
Previously, Nikkhil Advani worked in Dharma Productions and rose to popularity when Karan Johar gave him the opportunity to direct the iconic film, Kal Ho Naa Ho, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, and Saif Ali Khan. But, later, he had a fallout with Karan Johar and left his production house. In an interview with Galatta Plus, the director revealed that Salman Khan came as a saviour and reached out to him at that time. He added that he will be grateful towards the superstar for offering him work amid difficult times. He said:
"Salman Khan prides himself on being the messiah of the industry, so the minute I walked out of the doors of Dharma Productions, I got a call from Salman saying, 'Come and meet me.' 'Now you will work for me; you will make a film for me.' And I appreciate that. I did Hero because Salman called me up, even after I started D-Day."
On the work front, Salman Khan recently made a cameo appearance in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again and Atlee's Baby John. He will be next seen in Sikandar, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Prateik Babbar, Sharman Joshi, and more. The film will be released on the occasion of Eid 2025.
